Shibaura Mechatronics Corporation
Shibaura Mechatronics Corporation was founded in 1939 as a manufacturer
of industrial motors, which the company was separated from
Tokyo Shibaura Electric Co. Ltd. (nowadays Toshiba Corporation)
and
named as "Shibaura Engineering Works Co., Ltd." at
that time.
Since then, the company merged with Tokuda Seisakusyo Co.,
Ltd., a manufacturer of vacuum pumps and equipment in 1991
and with
Toshiba Mechatronics Co., Ltd. in 1998, which resulted in
changing its name to "Shibaura Mechatronics Corporation".
Entering into a new millennium with the arrival of multi
media era, the widespread use of mobile equipment and Internet

our market globally. The company has set up its corporate
slogan as "The Provider of Infrastructure for the Digital Age".
